Swardlick’s Work for Clients Recognized
at 2007 Broderson Awards
PORTLAND, ME (November 2, 2007) — For 27 years, the Broderson Awards have recognized and honored creative excellence in Maine’s advertising and communications industry. The 2007 awards were announced on November 1st at a gala event featuring a comprehensive display of entries. In all, more than 400 entries in 35 categories were reviewed by a panel of judges comprised of advertising professionals from around the United States. Swardlick Marketing Group’s work for 7 different clients was honored with a total of 8 “Brodies”, including:
- Bentley College — for Online Advertising, Non-Commercial: Fall Student Recruitment
- Gifford’s Ice Cream — for Radio Commercial: “Support Group”
- Gorham Savings Bank — for Point of Purchase: POS Program
- L.L. Bean — for Newspaper Campaign: “Employee Outfitting” and for Newspaper, Small Space: “The Briefcase — Maine Version”
- Maine Turnpike Authority — for Television, Non-Commercial: “Little Cars”
- Mitchell Institute — for Annual Report
- Thorndike Development — for Corporate Identity: Red Mill Village

The Broderson Awards are held bi-annually, and are organized by the Ad Club of Maine. The awards are named in honor of Dick Broderson, a legendary advertising professional and active member of the Maine advertising and communications community who lost his battle with cancer in 1972.
